When I film on my powershot A3300 IS it stops out of nowhere and it shuts of. Then I have to restart. It does this everytime I film and it bugs me a lot. Also it doesn't focus sometimes. Does anyone know what might be the problem here?

I can set my metering, but every time the camera shuts off it goes back to "evaluative".  Is there a way to lock the settings so that spot metering can stay on until I change it?
