No image appears when I take photo with Powershot A1200

Uploading pictures - SX50 HS

I just got the sx50 HS, it's my first canon camera. I'm having trouble figuring out how to upload pictures, or even finding my registration code. Now I think I need a USB cable..why wouldn't it come with one?! Any help, please.
