My Canon g16, which I use almost exclusively for taking underwater images, has started working abnormally:
-when it starts up, it goes to the stored image display operation, not the "ready to photograph, lens extended" mode.
- I have to hit the shutter button to switch from image display to lens extended mode.
- it won't shut off. Hitting the power button shuts the camera down and stops the image display function momentarily, then the camera restarts as above.
- camera is set to ECO mode to shut off after one minute. It is not shutting off.
Is there an explanation or fix for these issues? I'm not aware of any damage the camera.
