imageCLASS MF753Cdw II How to duplex on Statement size paper

Can someone please help me set up my new printer?  I want to duplex print to statement size paper.  The paper was identified as Statement size when the paper was loaded, and there is only one paper tray to choose from.  Paper is loaded and the sizing guides are in proper place.  The printer preferences are set to duplex (on long edge), my Word document is set up for Statement size paper, but when the document is sent to the printer, I get only single pages printed.  What am I missing?  Thank you.

I believe you can only do this manually. Although it is possible to select "Print on Both Sides" from the Microsoft Word interface:

if you select "Printer Properties" which opens the actual driver, and if you select Statement size paper in the various tabs, you will find you are NOT able to select two-sided printing on the Finishing tab. That option will be grayed out.

Greetings ,

Can you confirm you are trying to print to media that is 5.5x8.5?

Microsoft .docx file type, printing from WORD?

It sounds like you may have duplex printing turned off somewhere.

Are you on Windows or Mac?

Thank you for your interest in this issue.  I am using Windows 11, and am trying to print to 5.5 x 8.5 paper (Statement size), Microsoft.docx and other file types. Duplex printing is turned on in Printer Preferences, and when printing the document, I choose "Print on 2 sides (on long edge)".  The story behind this:  I purchased an HP InkJet printer that advertised "duplexes" and found it does not duplex to anything other than Letter & A4 size paper!  I sold it and just replaced it with this machine after carefully checking all that I could to verify that it should duplex to Statement size paper.  All the information from Canon indicated it would do that.  Now I am having trouble making it work.  What am i overlooking?  Or is it really possible that this machine will only duplex this size paper "manually"?  Thank you.

Greetings,

I'm still reviewing this.  I don't see the automatic duplex printing option for statement size paper.

Thank you for your help.  I am coming to the same conclusion.  However, I cannot express how disappointed I am.  After having the same issue with a new HP unit (my old HP unit would duplex to statement paper), and so selling it at a reduced price to another user, I believed I had checked out all the possibilities as I reviewed all the Canon promotional material I could find on line, even going so far as to inquire several places with other folks who should know.  (I guess i made the mistake of not contacting Canon support directly before purchasing.)  All the literature and advertising information indicated no problem with automatic duplex printing to statement size paper.  I believe there is a great fault in the marketing department for not making this fact easily available to those considering their product.  I like the machine otherwise. Again, thank you for your interest.
