Cannot connect to server - i-SENSYS MF735Cx (touch screen model)

Bullenpoint

I have an MF735Cx (touch screen model) previously used with Copy Card Reader-F.
Card reader is removed, but on every startup I still get*:

“Cannot connect to server. Contact System Manager.”

I have done a full “Erase All” in Service Mode, reset everything available, and logged into Remote UI as System Manager. In Remote UI I have turned OFF everything related to external connections, (including Google Cloud Print, SNMP, Network discovery, Reserved ports, IPP, LPD, RAW, WSD, Mopria, SMB, All firewall filters, All application settings and so on)

Remote UI does not show “Initialize All Settings”, and the normal resets do not remove the external authentication mode. It looks like the printer is still trying to contact the company’s former on-prem authentication/print server, even though it is no longer available/exists.

Since this model has no keypad, I cannot access any higher Service Mode Level.
How can I fully remove the old external authentication settings and return the device to true factory state?

___
* The device was previously connected to uniFLOW with a Copy Card Reader-F, so the printer is probably still stuck in External Authentication Mode. Standard resets do not remove the uniFLOW authentication module on MF735Cx touch-screen models.

Greetings ,

For this issue I suggest you contact support.  I don't believe the i-Sensys MF735Cx is a US product.

To get help outside of the US, please visit the Canon Global Support website and select your country or region.
