imageCLASS MF753Cdw II- Pages printing 6mm too short with thick paper

I am trying to print onto thicker card stock (330gsm black core) on a Canon ImageCLASS mf753cdw ii. Other people have reported using this printer with this cardstock without any issue, and it was the reason I selected this printer. however every time I try the page comes out squished, about 5-6mm too short on the leading edge of the paper.

The print quality is otherwise perfect, and printing on slightly less heavy paper (80lb) with the exact same settings comes out as expected.

Are there any settings I can tweak that may be able to remedy this issue?

• Printer: Canon ImageCLASS mf753cdw ii
• Paper: 330gsm black core cardstock (12pt)
• Operating System: Windows 11
• Software used to print: Adobe Acrobat
• Relevant print settings:
  • Size: Actual Size
  • Paper Source: Multi-purpose-tray, 2-Sided Coated 3
  • Correct Paper Conveyance: On

Attached is an example, the top paper is 330gsm black core printing too short, the bottom paper is the 80lb cardstock printing as expected. The square is a registration mark to be used by a cutting machine, so it is important that the print is the correct size.

Using paper that heavy is not recommended, regardless of what you may have read or has been reported by others.

You can try feeding pages one at a time through the multi-purpose feeder, but I don't recommend this.

The solution is to not use a heavier paper than what Canon states the printer is rated for, even if this is not your desired outcome.

Drat, I was hoping there was some tolerance I could tweak. Oh well! I can adjust to it somewhat in software so I don't waste the paper I already have.
