PIXMA MX922 Performed cleaning/align stillhorizontal bands when printing graphics on photo paper

Brand new. I use a printer for graphics. Horizontal bands 1/4" appear in solid colors when photo paper is used. Gives the appearance of being printed with ribbons. Performed the setup/alignment, performed cleaning and deep cleaning. Problem persists.

Blank spaces in document with MX922

I have a MX 922.  It has been printing fine and suddenly it is blurry with blanks in the lines, even when printing plain text documents.  I have checked ink levels and performed the maintenance tasks that the printer allows. Suggestions?
