Small plastic piece found in paper tray of Canon Color imageCLASS LBP622cdw

Hello,

I found this tiny white lever in the paper tray. I think it has something to do with the paper sensor because my printer always thinks that there is no paper when I try to print and I get an error.

I don't know where it goes can somebody help me?

The piece has the text "5/8" on it.

Greetings ,

I don't have any idea. I've never seen that part before.  Hopefully somebody else here has.

Just FYI, the model of your printer is LBP622cdw.

I know the 6 looks like a "b" but it's a 6.  If no one responds, I would log into My Canon and contact support.  Someone there can probably help you identify that part.  They can also put you in touch with the Canon parts department if it's a user replaceable part or let you know how it can go about getting replaced.

Good eye, Rick! I updated the topic to reflect the correct model number!

Hello Rgomezp,

To check on the part and how to put it back on to the printer or to check what service options are available, you can contact support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to check the error that you are getting and if the printer needs service or if the printer needs another paper tray to resolve the issue.
