My mf733cdw laser printer

Jazziz

Good evening all! I have a MF733CDW Laserjet printer. When I print or make copies of letters, the black letters and images come out faded, all other colors(Y,M,C) come out great! Is this a setting issue? If so or if not, how do I fix this? I think Ive tried everything. I am using canon toners.

Hi Jazziz,

Welcome to The Canon Forums!

Please print the Cartridge Log Report using the operational panel:

<Menu>  <Output Report>  <Print List>  <Cartridge Log Report>  Check that the size and type of paper displayed on the screen is loaded in the machine, and select <Start>

If the print out is light, and the cartridge level is not low. Remove the black toner carefully and rock up and down a couple of times. Please back in the printer and try the report again.

If still light, check to ensure Toner Save is is off:

<Menu>  <Function Settings>  <Printer>  <Printer Settings>  <Print Quality>  <Toner Save>  Select <Off>

You can save toner consumption. Select <On> when you want to check the layout or other appearance characteristics before proceeding to final printing of a large job.

You may need to replace the black toner cartridge, if the issue continues.
