Good day -
I am having trouble getting an older MB5320 to print well - specifically in black.
The unit was out of service for a few months during a move, and when it was put back into service the printing of anything black, most importantly text, is not printing well at all.
Ink cartridges show plenty of ink, almost none used.
After cleaning, printing the nozzle test pattern shows colors are fine, but black is still cutting off part of the text, specifically the lower half of letters
Attempting to deep clean creates an error 5200.
Automatic printer head alignment does not fix the problem, and printing the grid to allow for manual head alignment doesn't work since the black text is missing from the grid, so there is no way to tell which values should be input to align the printhead.
Are there printheads for the MB5320 that can be purchased and replaced, or is this a non-replaceable item?
Any help appreciated -

Hello Stmccann,
If you are getting a 5200 error on the MB5320, it would point to a hardware issue or a problem with the ink supply. Unfortunately, the print head is not a replaceable part on this model. In this situation, you can try performing regular cleanings to drop the level for the black ink. The cleanings might get the ink flowing through the print head properly again or drop the ink level to the point that you can change the ink.
If performing cleanings and replacing the black ink does not resolve the issue, it looks like the printer needs service. You can use the link HERE to access you MyCanon account to check your available service options or you can contact support at 1-800-652-2666.
