You may be able to reset the function and resolve the issue by performing the following:
1. Unplug printer from the electrical outlet.
2. Hold down the power button for 60 seconds.
3. Plug it back in.
4. Power it back on.
If the printer still wont power on and you have also tried a different outlet, the printer would need service. If the printer is still within the 1 year warranty, please contact our support group at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST(excluding holidays).
If the printer is out of warranty, you do qualify for the Canon Upgrade Program.
