Scanner function of a "Imageclass" MF4880dw worked without difficulty on desktop using Windows 10. Desktop was replaced with a HP All-in-one running on Windows 11. Now scanner will not work. Have loaded patch, have replace firmware, have cycled all devices. On change has occurred during the process. The MF 4880 know acknowledges a destination of "DESKTOP -27FF9L1" but it will not connect to that destination or to the generic "B&W Scan" that it used to connect to,
Looks like for earlier versions Windows that was a secondary patch called --Windows 32-bit & 64-bit] Patch for Network Scan, USB Scan. The protocol as available appears to be that one is to first run -- MF4800MFDriverV4101WPusEN.exe and then run the "Patch for Network Scan" but when I go to that patch the supported OS list do not include Windows 11.
Is a patch coming for OS 11, is it safe and sensical to run the Patch for earlier OS or am I out of luck with a partially operating Printer/Scanner/Copier?

Greetings,
Ensure you follow the instructions and restart (not shutdown) your machine after installing the MF drivers. Run the patch. The support portal states it should work until windows is updated. Not ideal. There is no information regarding if or when new drivers will be released. Please report your results, it may help others.
This patch resolves an issue that prevents scanning over a network or with a USB connection after upgrading Windows to a newer version. If you cannot scan over a network or with a USB connection, install this patch. If installing (or reinstalling) the MF driver, be sure to first restart (not shut down) your PC after driver installation is complete, and then install this patch. If you are using USB scan, be aware that it may cease functioning after any future upgrades to Windows. If this occurs, install this patch again. After installing this patch, if the message prompting you to restart your PC is displayed, restart (not shut down) your PC. * If you do not restart your PC, this patch will not take effect.
