Canon PIXMA G6020 Wireless High Volume Business Printer All-in-One Supertank Printer
Suddenly all print jobs are producing blank pages-- not even a faint smudge, including test print and nozzle check, whether from computer (Dell Inspiron 3020; Windows 11, 64-bit operating system), or directly started from printer. It's possible my husband did something the other day when he was randomly pressing buttons to scan and print from the printer, as this was the last successful print job-- perhaps it's stuck in copy mode???
Have tried turning off, unplugging and restarting computer and printer, as well as deleting and reinstalling.
Help!

If color will not print do a second deep clean. I think you can choose just the color head.

You initiated a nozzle check and nothing printed? It sounds and moves like it should but the page comes out blank? Is that correct?
The Canon PIXMA G6020 can print blank pages even on a nozzle check if the print head is clogged or the waste ink absorber is full, which restricts ink flow; Canon recommends deep cleaning the print head and, if needed, replacing it or the absorber pads.
That being said I don't think it is an absorber pad issue, when full the pad usually throws an error on the printer LCD panel. I think you need to perform a deep cleaning, you could either have a totally clogged print head or it has failed, or the ink tubes have air bubbles and stopped . A deep cleaning will help determine which has happened. If the deep cleaning does not work, an ink flush is the next step, but first the deep cleaning which may need to be done more than once.
Here are the instructions for a deep cleaning the print head:

Yes. When I attempted to print the original doc the dialogue box indicated the printer was connect and ready to print. Printer made the regular noises, but when the sheet came out it was totally blank. Thought perhaps there was a disconnect between my computer and printer, but when I initiated a nozzle check from the printer, it sounded normal, and the paper moved normally... but there was absolutely noting on the page.

Thanks, Derrick. Attempting the deep cleaning. Fingers crossed!

Success!-- at least for b&w printing, which is probably 98% of what I print. So thank you so much!
Speaking of which, while I still have sufficient color ink, it is getting low, so plan to purchase a 3-pack of GI-20 refills. Since I pretty much only print gray scale, I could see these print heads perhaps clogging. In case deep cleaning isn't sufficient for these, tips on the ink flush?
Thanks again. 🙂
