MF 8580 prints bold text improperly

All of a sudden bold print has changed.  There is the normal text and a very faint grey text line just offset from the primary text as if it were a shadow effect but it's just supposed to be bold text.

New guy here and can't figure out how to start a new discussion. Sorry, but it's similar. All of a sudden, my Canoh printer will print a document with various lines coming out in bold when I have not set them as bold. When I look at the doc before printing, everything looks normal.  I used another printer and it comes out ok but I want to use my Canon. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
