MB2320: Lost the scan feature when re-installed on new Mac

Bought a new Mac running Ventura 13.2.1.  Reinstalled the trusty MB2320.  Prints fine, but the scan option is completely gone?!?!  I downloaded "IJ Scan Utility2" and double clicked to activate and got the following error message,

A scanner driver supporting this software is not installed. Install it and try again

Code:15,230,0

Any ideas?

Are you able to scan with Apple's Preview application?

After launching Preview, and turning on your printer, is there an "Import from Canon MB2320" or similar menu item within the File menu of Preview?

No luck.  The Preview/File/Import from Scanner option is grayed out.  Thanks for spending a few cycles on this.
