MAXIFY MB2720 Accidentally left tape on cartridge, can't pull it out

I changed the black cartridge but forgot to take the tape off of the open hole at the top.  It says I cannot change the cartridge until the ink runs out.  The ink is not being released.  How do I get the black cartridge to come to position to take it out and put it back in.

Please help!

Hello,

The ink in the printer will only move to the position when it detects that the ink is low/empty. The tank should have a seal that is punctured when it is loaded. I was unable to locate one of our models that need tape removed. To see what might be going on, you can reply with the specific model number or brand from the tank.
