Hello Jhmauldin,

That issue can be caused by a problem with the color print head or air in the ink lines. In this situation, you can try reloading the color print head that the ink sprays out of to see if it resolves the issue. You can use the steps in the link HERE to reseat the color print head. While reseating the color print head, you can inspect the color ink lines attached to the print head carriage. If the ink lines are empty, or if there are gaps in them, you can perform an ink flush for color only after reseating the print head.

I have had the same problem with my GX6021 not printing in color at all and I try just about everything everyone was suggesting. Then, today, I decided to give it one more shot before I replaced it with a Digital Monday sale printer.

I tried this twice, and it didn't help: settings (the cog icon at the bottom of the home screen) > maintenance > deep cleaning

Then I tried this: settings > maintenance > ink flush—and it worked! I'm printing in color again!

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you ! Your advice saved the day. I had tried everything and still had only black and white printing. I did the ink flush and now have color again!!!

Hi all. I don't use my printer often. And every time I do, the color inks are not working at all. I've done all the maintenance steps and this time, they're just not working except for a little cyan. Any tips? I thought it would be great to have these big ink reservoirs -- and it's just not.

Thank you Hector
Your suggested solution helped me to resolve my printing issue on my Maxify GP6050 🙂
