My Canon MF731 prints beautifully and copies beautifully. When I open the Canon MF Scan Utility application and press scan "document," I get an error message "Cannot communicate with any of the scanners. The scanners may not be connected, or may be turned off."
My mac is ios 12.5 and I have installed the latest Canon drivers for 10.12-13.1. Any suggestions?

Hello Jtpsweeny,
The issue could be caused by a connection issues, settings in the utility or security blocking the connection. You can check the top of the MF scan utility to make sure the printer is set to the correct connection MF731 vs MF731 (network). We would be happy to assist with the issue. To provide some feedback or some troubleshooting steps, we would need some additional information. If you could reply to this message with the information below, we can provide some assistance.
