I recently purchased a new Mac with Sequoia. I went to the Download page for the printing and scanning application and drivers of my MAXIFY MB2320. I downloaded and installed 'IJ Scan Utility2 Ver.2.4.2 (Mac)' as provided on the software download page. The install was successful yet the application will not launch and provides the following error, "A scanner driver supporting this software is not installed. Install it and try again."
Upon investigation I see that Canon reports that macOS Sequoia is not supported.
As a result, I attempted without success to remove 'Canon IJ Scan Utility2'. I get the following error when I drag the App to the trash, 'The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again.'
1. Is scanning from the printer front panel to my Mac supported?
2. Is scanning from my Mac supported?
3. How do I remove the application? I do not want unsupported software on my new Mac.
