Can't scan to email

Martijn1689

Hi all,

I've bought the MF643CDW and i am unable to let the printer scan to email. I've seen all the instruction videos on youtube. I've tried everything, but nothing works.

Problem:

I want to install my GMAIL account on the machine:

- Changed the SMTP port to 587

- I changed the SMTP AUTH settings

- Entered my login user name and password

- TLS Enable but not the validate box.

I receive an #839 error. wich means:

Cause
The user name or password specified in Communication Settings is incorrect.
Remedy
Check the user name and password set for <SMTP Authentication (SMTP AUTH)> in Communication Settings. (See "Common Communication Settings for E-Mail/I-Fax.")

I've checked every user name en password 100 times, but it does not work.

Someone with the same issues?

Greetings,

The username is your full gmail address "xxx@gmail.com"

What are you using for incoming / outgoing mail servers?

Do you have 2 factor auth enabled on your account?

Are you allowing "Less Secure Apps"?
