Cannon MF733 cdw faded prints when printing from wireless devices

esanmandal

My Cannon MF733cdw is hardwired into my router. When I print from desktop, which is hardwired to the same router, the printer works great and there are no issues. However, when I try to print from my laptop which connects to router wirelessly, the black and white prints come out gray. I have tried two different chromebooks, a laptop and a surface pro and get the same results everytime. Any help is appreciated.

Hi esanmandal.

Is the MF733Cdw connected to the router by USB, or by Ethernet?  USB connection to a router may negatively impact its ability to communicate on a network, so I recommend ensuring it's connected by Ethernet (Cat 5e or 6).

Also, double-check the print settings to ensure optimal results. If you are printing only text, try printing in black-and-white rather than grayscale.  Grayscale may result in lighter-colored printing when non-black colors (including "charcoal" and other almost-black colors) are used for web display purposes.

If you are using third-party CUPS drivers on the Chromebooks, try instead setting up the MF733Cdw as a Cloud Printer through its Remote UI.

Depending on the version of Windows running on the Surface Pro, you may be able to find drivers on the MF733Cdw Drivers & Downloads page.

The printer is connected via ethernet, not usb.

I have tired installing the driver in my windlows 10 laptop and everything prints light no matter if I print balck&white or color.

Cloud printing on chrome book also doesn't work.

Do you have any other suggestions?
