I have Windows 10. I have tried downloading drivers and nothing works. I just keep getting the "connect to computer" message. It used to work. I had to uninstall the printer and re-install to get the printer to work, now the scanner doesn't. I bought this because I only wanted to be able to print and scan. Didn't need color or anything else. Both the printer and the computer were purchased within the last 6 months.

Hello,
To scan from a Windows computer, the MF scan utility and drivers will need to be installed and connected to the scanner. If installed, the MF scan utility should appear in your list of installed programs under Canon Utilities. You can check if the software is installed and running by opening the scan utility and trying and trying a test using the document scan button in the program. If it scans from there, you can check on the button panel of the scanner to make sure you are selecting the correct connection for the computer that you are scanning to.
If the software is missing, you can download and install it using the link HERE. You will need to download and install both of the recommended files.
If you continue to run into problems with scanning, I suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to assist.
