Is the RP-108 paper compatible with the Selphy CP1500?

Hello, I recently bought a CP1500 but I am having issues finding paper and cartridges for it. The box and website say the paper should be the KP format, specifically KP-36IP for 4x6 prints. All stores around me happen to carry the RP-108 packs, not the KP, and I was receiving mixed answers online if it’s compatible. Thanks!

The Canon shop site shows it as an accessory for the CP1500, but to be safe why not call Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON.
