Links in forum email notifications not working any more

pedz

The emails I get telling me that there is a new response to a thread I'm following have links that do not work.  It appears that they are empty.  Here is a piece of the raw text from one email:

<a class=3D"thread-url" href=3D"">Request: Electronic level in information added to EXIF data</a>

They also seem to take about a week to be delivered.  Indeed, it appears I get two emails.  One is timely and has links that work.  The other is a week late and has broken links.

Thanks for letting us know, pedz!  We've passed this along to our forum gurus so that they can look into it.

@p4pictures I believe this is the same issue that you are having? I will start a help ticket with the vendor to resolve this.

Yes indeed it is the same as I see. It's the email a week or so later about an update on a topic I posted on that has the broken links. The code in my emails for the link is the same as above. You can see HTML elements broken like src and href which have a syntactically incorrect 3D added after the equals sign and before the quoted value.

If support needs more information, please ask.  There seems to be two flavors of emails.  One comes almost immediately and works.  The other comes about a week later and has broken links (which actually appear to be empty).  Also, the late emails do not always come.  e.g. A thread can have a lot of updates which produces a lot of good value timely emails but only one late bad email and that is only sometimes.  Perhaps it is a reply to a reply that triggers the bad email -- just a wild guess.

Good luck!
