Hi
Im using Canon 40D, Im facing a problem, that I can't push the ISO upto the last limit H (3200). It stops at 1600, I move the dail, it does not go another stop Further?
before this camera, I had another Canon 40D . In that camera I could push ISO to 3200 H. the firmware was 1.0.5, I updated the firmware to 1.1.1, still the same.
Waiting for replies and a solution.

Why do so many people say "FER-tographer"? Do they take "fertographs"?

Scott is correct. I still have my downloaded manual & the info is on page 154. It's a Custom Function (C.Fn 1-3) and you need to set it to 1

...keeping in mind that there is a reason the extended ISO's are locked. By locking them, the manufacturer is acknowledging that for most situations the image quality is not going to be acceptable, with so much noise at that high an ISO level.
I am not sure if the extended ISO on a 40D also include a lower ISO, like ISO 50, but that is actually pretty useful. It is like adding a 1 stop ND filter so you can get longer exposures in daylight for things like blurring water, etc., and there is no discernable image quality loss.
