Phone or email for legal department?

I bought a Canon Maxify GX7120, and found, just today, it does not duplex on legal paper.

I am furious because the technical specifications page mentions how it automatically duplex prints, but doesn't say anything about legal paper. I bought this thing about 64 days ago, so I'm well past the generic return phase.

Anyone have a number for their legal department?

Umm, thanks, but that is tech support, and I kinda already had that. The best they could do is give me the email to the customer relations department. I did send them a message, and I am waiting for a reply.

"... doesn't say anything about legal paper."

That was probably a clue. You assumed something that was not stated.

I don't know of any company that would connect a person directly to the legal department...unless the person is an attorney with a legitimate legal question or issue. Even then, I would think a connection to the legal department would be by filing a brief about a complaint or issue.

As it turns out, after sending some faxes and one paper letter, someone from Canon called me. A very nice person took care of everything to my satisfaction.

My girlfriend was an attorney for the SE region of the Federal Trade Commission for many years, and she turned down a promotion to head to Washington, D.C. I thoroughly conferred with her before I bothered to head down this path.
