Hello! I don't need my Canon account any longer and don't want to have my information just sitting on their servers. There doesn't seem to be a delete/deactivate my account option in the My Account section of the site and trying to use Support or Contact Us is a loop. How can I request that my account be deleted?

After sign-in, click your profile pic and select "My Settings" from the drop down menu.

Hey there!
To close and delete your My Canon Account, go to the account section of your My Canon Account by tapping this link: https://myid.canon/canonid/#/account
Once you're there, scroll to the bottom of the page, where you'll see "Delete your Canon ID account."
This will not unsubscribe you from marketing emails. To do that, go to https://canon.us/unsub.
I hope this helps!

Neither of these options work. The link to delete the My Canon Account takes me to a login screen that doesn't find my account. The link to the unsubscribe page brings me to a form to send a message to support with absolutely no information about what it's for.
I have two accounts. I need one of them deleted and the emails to stop.

Andy,
I just verified both. Both are present and working.

Are you going to the community accounts? That's not what I'm trying to cancel.
The links are present and working? How does that apply to what I've said? The first link takes me to a login page that doesn't find my account, which I can actually log into at Canon. The second link takes me to a form to submit a statement or question without saying what it's for. I didn't say they weren't there.

Hello again!
Apologies for the confusion. That form is kind of a generic form that goes to our admin group. They manually process the request and call it a day.
I can fully understand, though, how the page looks suspicious. I found another page that is a lot more straightforward: https://canon.us/RemoveMe
If you find you still need help, call 800-385-2155. That's our sales number. It will ask if you need help placing an order or help with the status of an order. Tell it you need help making an order, and it will let you talk to someone who can help.

That page also doesn't say what, exactly, it is for. I don't want to leave the community since I have an account I want to keep. The site doesn't specify.
I did find the sales number and there was an automated option to get to support. Once there however, it required the model number of the device I no longer own. I had to say 'none' and 'nothing' several times before it gave up and transferred me to an operator who allegedly put in an error report. Someone is supposed to be calling me back next week.
