Can't Register for Canon Forums

I tried fruitlessly to Register for the Canon Forums...

But after each attempt, I got a red error message claiming I failed to complete the CAPTCHA Code.

However, the CAPTCHA Code NEVER appears--even after trying with different browsers.

I registered my Canon Vixia XA-11, but have NEVER been able to register for the Canon Forum.

Just tried again, wouldn't accept either my name or email address. NOT registered.

Again, why NO CAPTCHA Code appearing during Forum sign-up?

Have posted my XA-11 problem on another digital video forum.

I had this problem as well and found out how to work around it. I also tried multiple browsers and found no capcha appeared.  The problem was that I was clicking the login/register link at the top right of the page (the one with the little person icon).  If you are not registered and try to click "reply" on any thread in the forum, the register page that loads from there WILL display the capcha! 

I hope this helps anyone who has the same issue, and shame on you, Canon, for not doing something about this sooner! This original post is almost 4 years old and the problem still exists!  Imagine how may people that could help that just give up because of your broken registration link!

Thank you for posting this--this worked for me! I'm having a problem that is unanswered in existing forum threads & the only way to try & solve it is by asking a new question, but there's no way to do this unless I can actually register on the forum. Clearly this problem has been going on for months & they still haven't fixed it.
