failed to correctly acquire vc_redist.x64.exe file: CRC error.

When trying to install EOSWebcamUtilityPro-WIN2.3 I received the following error "failed to correctly acquire vc_redist.x64.exe file: CRC error." I asked Chat GPT and it said the following but it did not resolve the problem:

I solved the problem I needed both versions of windows visual studio.

WINDOWS USERS: We have identified an installation error occurring due to a recent update by Microsoft to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables. To correct this issue, please download and install both of the following files from Microsoft manually:

• https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
• https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

After installing these redistributables, try installing our software again. Additionally, please note that we will provide an update to fix this issue shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Let us know if you need further assistance.

I'm also hitting this issue.

I installed 
vc_redist.x64.exe & vc_redist.x86.exe (V 14.42.34438)
Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn
Windows Versions 24H2 (OS Build 26100.3476)

I tried on the following Canon builds and they all fail stating this dependency is not properly installed. I've reinstalled it several times from within the canon tool, directly from Microsoft page, and though the VS installer.

I've also tried running the install as admin.

Apparently, my new Surface Laptop has a Snapdragon, ARM processor. I downloaded the EOSWebcamUtilityPro-WIN2.3b package and now everything is working.
