EOS Webcam Utility "Failed to acquire" error

FOR SOME REASON WHEN I TRY TO DOWNLOAD AND SETUP MY WEBCAM UTILITY, WHEN I PRESS "SETUP" AND I TRY TO GO THROUGH THE STEPS. WHEN I HIT INSTALL IT SAYS, "FAILED TO ACQUIRE VC_REDIST.X64.EXE FILE" WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN??? I NEED ASSISTANCE

Back in 2024, there was a thread on this site that talked about this same error under the title:

failed to correctly acquire vc_redist.x64.exe file: CRC error.
