EOS 2000d computer compatibility when using a webcam

I want to connect my EOS 2000d to my computer using a USB cable, but I haven't bought one yet. Before buying one, I wanted to ask if I can use the 2000d as a webcam. I know it's not primarily meant to be a camera to film on, but a camera to take photos with. I'm worried I won't be able to film while connected to a computer.

I wouldn't do it even if it is possible.

Just to be clear, you wouldn't do it because it wouldn't be practical or because you don't know if it would work... Because I can't believe I'm supposed to buy software that costs 5 bucks/month just to use my 700 euro camera as a webcam every once in a while. Right? Why not make a camera that would work like it's supposed to?

The Canon USA version of the Webcam Utility has two operating modes.  There’s a free mode for a single camera. The advanced mode requires a paid subscription   

it seems like you’re in Europe. You Canon Support web site may have something similar.
