EOS Webcam Utility Pro not recognizing M50 (Mark I) - macOS

I've used my M50 as a webcam many, many times over the years since Webcam Utility was first released, but, not as much as of late. Well, I tried setting it up again the last couple days and can't get it to work.

Here's a list of steps I've already taken:
1) I've uninstalled and reinstalled the utility driver itself
2) I've made sure my firmware on the camera was updated (1.1.0)
3) I've even checked my Mac's System Information to verify the computer recognizes my camera, which it does
4) I've checked my camera's setting to make sure wireless communication is turned off (both WiFi and Bluetooth)

But, still, when I pull up EOS Webcam Utility Pro and plug in the camera (in movie mode), it doesn't work. The utility does push the generic logo feed to my streaming apps (Zoom and OBS), but it won't recognize the camera feed at all.

My hunch is that this has to do with the recent update to macOS 26 (Tahoe). I will say, however, on the driver list for the M50 it does list the EOS Webcam Utility Pro as an option when I select macOS 26 Tahoe from their OS list. This suggests it should work, and it's not like the program isn't running well, just simply not recognizing my camera. Final note is I did check and EOS Webcam Utility Pro still lists the M50 as a compatible device, so I'm trusting that's accurate as well.

Just totally up against a wall here. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello jlkanupp,

Currently, the EOS Webcam Utility Pro software is only compatible with Macs running macOS 13, 14, and 15. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have a date available of when an update to the software will be available for users to download from our website. The update will be available HERE to download when it's posted.

In the meantime, let's try a few things. Make sure that the camera is plugged directly into the computer and not a hub or anything of that nature. Also try using a different USB port on the computer if you are still having a problem.

We would recommend exiting and closing any applications that may be running on your computer, or in your task tray that may be connected to your camera or using the camera’s Live View video signal. For example: Canon's EOS Utility or an application connected to the camera like another video conferencing app. Make sure that you close that. It will keep the Webcam Utility from connecting to the camera.

I'm having the same issue, but still on Mac 15. Opened up this thread separately before I found this.

I've tried all your suggestions, but it's resulted in the same behavior.
