hello

i have a canon eos 350 and a tamron lens

the lens fits and auto focus works but zoom does not work auto and maual

does this happen when the lens is a nikon

its funny the lens says iz is for canon but has af in lens name

 

ah the lens is a tamron af70-300mm f/4-5.6 DI LD Macro 1,2

You zoom the lens by twisting a section of the lens barrel. If you can't do that it's a lens problem. You wouldn't be able to mount it on your camera nor have it AF if it was for use on a Nikon body.
