need basic manual for a canon eos r8

I am looking for a basic manual for a canon eos r8. On the canon support site, it states one comes with your camera. It then suggests to download the advanced manual. The advanced manual is 939 pages. That's like toting a phone book for a large city around.

Anyone got a link to a more portable manual?

I'm weasel,

The nice thing is that if your manual is in pdf format (which I think it probably is), then by using a pdf reader like Adobe Acrobat, you can use the Reader's search functions to search for specific words or phrases, or go to a specific chapter without having to lug the whole manual around with you.

It's made my life a whole lot easier.

Here is a compelling reason that demonstrates why electronic manuals are superior to a printed copy.

Here's one option:

FWIW, I downloaded the manual for my T7. Easier to enter a page number, click and go to it.

I suggest downloading the full user guide.  Then print out the individual chapters to their own, smaller PDF files.  For example, if you don’t want the information about video modes, then you can skip printing those chapters.
