EOS R highest jpg resolution isn't

Greetings, I have recently acquired a Canon EOS R. The highest jpg resolution I can set is 3888x2592, but the manual shows the higest res as 6720x4480. Is this due to a SD card issue, a firmware update, or a defect? Or??The camera works flawlessly, but I'd like to get the highest res possible. Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

You are seeing this maximum resolution because you have the camera set to crop mode or have an APS-C lens mounted.

This is not a problem with the camera. It's firmware, your SD card, etc.  If this is a new to you camera and you haven't already performed a reset of its settings, I recommend you do so.

Here is a link to the EOS R user guide which you should probably have a copy of too.

minref,

Go into your menu system and look for image quality. Make sure it's set for L and not M.
