Hey I just bought the canon r8 a month ago and I keep having over heating issues when shooting in 4k 60ps I shoot music videos so I use the highest resolution for quality videos so I can’t lower my resolution to 1080p can yall please send out in update to fix this issue canon please !!!

One of the biggest heat sources is the memory card. Writing video to the card causes it to heat up. Recording to an external device takes this issue off the table.

All gear has limitations. Be cognizant of the limitations of the R8. You cannot record indefinitely without the camera overheating. Canon is fully aware of the issue. That is why you are being given a warning, as described in the User Guide. It sounds like there is nothing wrong with your camera, to me. It seems to be fully functional within its design parameters.
