Does spending more mean getting less?

Unlike a lot of my colleagues in the field, I stayed with my T3i until I proved myself worthy of an upgrade.  But now that I decided to get a "better" camera, I am finding that spending more money means I am getting less performance.  Why is that?   ...

Resolved! Close Up Lens

On the specs for Canon 500D 58mm Close up Lens, the 70-300 mm 1:4 - 5.6 IS USM is not included The 4-5.6 lens is listed.I do not see why it will not work on my lens. Maybe better then the 70-300 on the list?Thanks for looking.

T3i IR 10-sec delay

brand new camera. focus is terrible- AF very bad and manual slightly better. red focus lights in view finder are not consistent. Flash washes out pics. Any ideas what I can do? Upset is a mild word to describe my mood
