This is the EOS R5 II - Retro Edition.
Canon did something similar in the past but only with the EOS RP (Gold Edition).

Cool concept, but who is the seller? Is it from another country or region? I've seen knockoffs and one-offs like this.

For me the answer is a resounding NO. Nikon has nailed the retro camera as mirrorless vibe--I wish Pentax would do the same for Spotmatic and ME looking cameras--and I want Canon to go hardcore toward the AE1 or the A1. If they do I will be in line first.

No from me. I haven't looked at retro cameras. For me, I'd love a retro SLR with just the same controls and limits that the old Olympus/Pentax/Nikon cameras had - limiting ISOs to film (ok, maybe go to 800), amazing inexpensive glass, manual focus only and only an exposure meter in the electronic viewfinder. High res sensor, though. Probably APS-C to keep costs lower. Maybe storage for 100 pics. And all for around $300. There would likely be zero market for this, though, so I'm not expecting that to happen. It would, I think, cause us all to "make" (as Ansel Adams suggests) pictures rather than take them. Truth be told, though, I'm sure that I need all the technological help that I can get! I just tend to get lazy and take pictures rather than make them depending too much on the tech and post-processing to fix it.

Oh, and old Canons, too. I just never owned a vintage Canon, so I listed only those that I did

I want a Canonflex bad!

Just not bad enough for us to ACTUALLY go back to film, though right? I mean we could and I am sure some really passionate people do. Sometimes it is tempting to buy up somebody's old darkroom equipment, pick up a used 35mm, Hasselblad and a field camera and go back to B&W just to experience that art form again. Who knows, maybe someday - but not likely 🙂 And some days I miss my old Thorens turntable and vinyl and those discrete stereo compoents, too. I'm glad to see the vinyl resurgence.
