Canon R50 V Serial Cannot be Registered to USA.

I am having a hardware issue with my Canon R50 V and I need the warranty to cover it. However, when I go to register the camera there is an error saying that it is the wrong set of numbers (which it 100% not) or that the serial number wasn't supposed to be sold in the United States

The camera was bought through the Canon website as a kit with the RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ. No error comes up on the lens just the camera body. 

Do I register the camera outside of the US even though I'm in the US?

I would suggest that you contact Canon support.  1-800-652-2666.  I had a similar issue with my R50v and PZ lens.  While it took my serial number no problem, the body and lens combo was not in the database yet. A call to Canon support was all that was needed.  I had to wait about 3 days for them to get the hardware added, but once it was Canon registered it for me and applied my carepak.  It only took one phone call and the rep was in communication with me via email until my case was resolved.
