Trouble Registering an EOS R6 Mark II

I attempted to register a new R6 MarkII camera body and was told the serial number was invalid (perhaps because it was not for a product that could be sold in the U.S.). I purchased the product from Amazon and know enough to know that it was not what is referred to as a "gray market" sale.

I started over and this time was told that the serial number was already registered.  If so, it is not registered with all of my other products (I checked and reloaded the page and was subsequently able to add a lens with no problem).

It is apparent to me (as someone familiar with website coding) that there's a problem with the web site.  Maybe someone will bring this to the attention of the appropriate person.  Canon is not alone in this regard as I've found similar situations with the web pages of other large corporations.  It is an unfortunate sign of the times.

However . . . the camera works very well, especially the fast focusing(although I still like the "heft" of my other Canon bodies including the original R).

Greetings,

Does your camera body have a US Warranty Card.  This would have been in the box.

If so, contact support, they should be able to help.  1-800-652-2666

Yes, it has a US Warranty Card.  I'll call when they're open on Monday.  I think when I scanned the QR on the card it may have registered it but it's not registered on my products list.  I wondered if it might have used my phone number to set up a new account or something.  I'll have to talk to a human to get it straightened out. Thanks
