New to R5 M2 (coming from the R5) - where is the Face Tracking AF Method?

Am I missing this button setting? I'm so used to the AF Method being the cute face + Tracking setting but I just don't see it on the M2. Is that correct?

That is correct. However, you have a bit more control of how it functions

Look on page 481 of the users manual.

Personally, I use SERVO and enable "Whole area tracking  Servo AF" in the AF-1 menu. Then set "Subject to detect" to Animals; "Eye detection" to Auto in the AF-2 menu. I set my "Case" to Manual; Tracking sensitivity = -2; Accel/decel. tracking = -1 in the AF-3 menu... Works for me 🙂 I do shoot people, but Animal as my subject to detect tracks people as well, so I just leave it to Animals.

I will add that once you select a Subject to detect, it will select whatever is prominent, if a face, be it an animal or person, it will lock on, if a shape, be it body - profile - back of head - eye, it just figures it out. So there is no option to track a face, it just does it. It does seem to have a priority for faces and eyes.
