Picked up a new R5ii last week and leaving a 6ii. I have not done much volume with it yet but having issues with it disconnecting from Camera Connect app. It will download 1 to maybe 13 photos in RAW and disconnect. I have to turn the camera off to even get my Samsung phone to reconnect to the camera. Once it disconnects it won't let me access the photos on the app. Never had an issue on the 6ii and had one shoot of about 1900 photos.

Hi Ajlawn1,
I'm sorry to hear your phone and camera keep losing connection. When the connection drops do you see any error messages on the camera or the phone? And if you do see an error message what does it say word for word?

Same issue as above with no error pop up. I’m using a R5 mark ii and an iphone. The camera and the iPhone software are up to date but the connect app keeps disconnecting after a few photo downloads.

Hello Hazel/Canon/community,
I have presented the same issue over and over using my Google Pixel 7A and Canon Camera connect app to download my CRAW photos from my Canon R5 Mark II, nonetheless, I've noticed several times that there are some photos that my phones tries to download, and my phone exits the Canon connect app and my phone stops downloading photos, and when I try to redownload the photos again the app does not connect until the camera is restarted and the connect app is closed and reopened. No error message appears once the Canon connect app disconnects from the phone. Moreover, I used to be able to download multiple photos from my Canon R5 Mark II using the Canon connect app with no issue until this lag/issue started appearing.
May you please advise how to proceed to properly fix this issue?
Thank you. I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

No messages just next to the photos it quickly shows a yellow triangle box next to the photos with an exclamation point inside of it. You must then turn the camera off and back on to even reconnect. I've had it where not even one photo will download and other times it'll work fine and download 300+ RAW photos...

Any chance you resolved the issue? I’m having the same issue as with no error pop up. I’m using a R5 mark ii and an iphone. The camera and the iPhone software are up to date but the connect app keeps disconnecting after a few photo downloads.

Nope, still does it. I can get it to work randomly. Now I go through pics on the camera instead which stinks. I did by a card reader that helps now too. I thought I read the new camera firmware corrects it, but the US version isn't out yet...

I can’t upload RAW to my Mac either. Lol.. I kept thinking I was going crazy. It’s incredible Apple and canon are out of step here. There has to be a website or an app that can solve for this. Maddening..

Hi. New to the community. I'm based in the UK. Just had my new R5 mk2, a week in and I'm having the same issue, really annoying after spending good money on it! Now won't even connect to the camera on my Android tablet! I have an R3 and an R7 no issue with either. I've spoken to Canon this evening and a case has been created, I'll update if they come up with a satisfactory fix.....not holding my breath, lol.

Great, thanks! It's strange one minute I've been able to download 300+ RAW images with no issue... Next time I cannot get even one to download...
