Issue with accessing card 2 when switching recording options on r6 mark 2

Hi everyone. I recently purchased an R6 Mark II and am loving it so far. However, I have just faced an issue that prevents me from shooting photos and videos to both SD cards in my camera. When I switch the recording options on my SD cards from Standard to Record Separately or Record to Multiple, my camera shows the following message: "CARD2 cannot be accessed; reinsert/change the card or format card with camera. I have seen this issue multiple times already when trying to switch recording options. I have formatted cards in and out of the camera, done the registry editor, Windows PowerShell, and file explorer removal of write-only on my cards, while also having cleaned my cards and blowing out my SD card slots. However, this issue still seems to persist. I would be thankful if anyone here would be able to help me with this issue.
Thanks!

What specific SD cards are you using (brand, full size vs micro, specifications, etc)?

Make sure you are using suitable cards, I would suggest that UHS-II V60 or V90 specification full-size SD cards are what you should be using.

Have you tried swapping the card that works in slot 1 to slot 2, and then the slot 2 card to slot 1?

Also if you leave the recording as standard, can you record stills / movies to the cards in either single slot?

Secondly can you try using different SD cards in both slots?

If the problem continues with two different cards - both formatted in-camera, then you may have a camera problem. I have the EOS R6 Mark II and with cards in both slots I can record either multiple or separately.

I am using a sony tough 128gb v60 in slot 1 and a v90 of the same in slot 2

i do think that the second slot on the camera could be broken as when i swap both cards, i can view the v90 card in slot1 but i cannot view the v60 card in slot 2

That could certainly be the case, especially since you already cleaned it. Time to contact Canon to see about doing a repair.

yeah i think the second row of contacts for UHS-II cards is broken/bent as the second slot does work with UHS-I cards
Thanks for the information
