I selected Shooting Info Display, Screen Info Settings, checked only selection #2 (which gave me the histogram) and unchecked the rest. I clicked on Info Edit Screen and checked selection 1, 4 and 5 and hit ok (again included histogram).
Under Shooting Info Display, I also modified VF Info/toggle settings and unchecked selections 1 and 2 and only checked 3 (histogram).
Lastly, under Shooting Info Display, I selected Brightness Info, Histogram Setting, Brightness/RGB and changed it to Brightness with a small display size.
After all this, no live histogram! Any other ideas?

Hello, dbittel!
Did you enable Exposure Simulation? The live histogram seems to be tied to that.

FloridaDrafter, thanks! I looked at Display Simulation and it was greyed out since I had OVF Sim View Assist turned on. Once that was turned off and Display Simulation enabled (for Exposure), that did the trick. The histogram appears in both the EVF and flip out screen. Thanks a bunch!

It's different for EVF and LCD screen, for both you can use the info-button to flip through different settings.

Pcs1, thanks for the quick reply. I'm looking for the histogram to work on the screen as well as through the viewfinder. Can you describe the settings to accomplish both or just one?

These are for the R5II but it will be similar, once set up use the info button to select the different screens while looking at the LCD or while looking through the EVF.

Hi PCS1, again, thanks for the comprehensive reply. What I'm looking for is a live histogram either on the flip out screen or EVF allowing changes to exposure in realtime. It doesn't appear the R6 has that feature. Yes, I'm familiar with achieving a histogram via the info screen but that's after the fact. I'm looking for something in realtime. I envisioned using such a feature for photographing landscapes. Thanks again!

It's the same for the R6III, I searched for it's manual, see page 443-446, this is for the live histogram, either LCD or EVF. After setting this you switch(while shooting) to the desired screen with the info button.

Is that covered in the manual?
