I can't seem to figure out why one of my R6MII cameras shows the icon for heat control and the other does not?
Both on are firmware Ver. 1.5.0
This is NOT happening just because one camera is hot. This icon is there all the time. It also has nothing to do with record size. It is there for 4K and FHD recordings on one camera and not the other.
Can't find a menu setting where this is turned off/on or managed? Anyone?

Check the setting for Standy: Low res. on each camera. You will find this in the red menu page 8.
On my camera, when Standby: Low res. is ON the icon displays, when OFF the icon is not displayed.

The heat icon is actually a bar graph that shows up at the top right.

When Standby low res is on, the icon appears to remind you of the fact that the camera may need to adjust the refresh rate of the LCD while in standby mode to control the internal temperature.

Thanks... the manual doesn't really explain anything. Just labed (28) and I couldn't find any other information about it!
