R5II Problem customizing Quick Control screen

vb1316

I am trying to customize my Quick Control screen. I deleted an option so that I can add Precontinous Shooting to it.  After I selected save and exit to do that, what appears is an icon/link to the Customized Controls orange menu.  I cannot delete this option from the Quick Control screen nor can I see the Precontinous Shooting icon on the Quick Control screen which I wish to add.

Can someone please help with this?  Thank you

You could try reseting the quick control layout to it's default and starting again?

Check this section of the manual, at the end is the part about resetting the layout.

I posted a quick tutorial on YouTube recently about how I was able to use a combination of custom shooting modes and custom buttons to allow me to swtich pre-shooting on and off using the M-Fn button. I linked it in this post.

I just figured it out.  The Quick Controls screen is layed out differently depending on which info screen you view it from!  When I selected the Q button on the back of the camera, my changes were not visible on the info screen that I was using that showed only the Quick Controls.  But when I scrolled through the different screen options using the info button, and found the screen that contained the Q icon and selected that, there they were!  I customized it correctly, I just needed to know where to go to view my changes.  This may not be the quickest solution to access Precontinous Shooting however.  I will take a look at your video, thank you!
