Trying to connect multiple R5 MK II's to a PC over ethernet. Camera set back to factory specs, both have required firmware and correct batteries. I have tried both approved grips, network connection setup as manual states, LAN light is on, setup IP address in auto in the wizard and manually assigned an IP address, I can ping the camera from command prompt, I can ping the camera from inside EOS Multi Remote, camera shows it's connected with yellow icon next to it's name, when I try to click detect nothing happens, when I go into multi view it's like the camera is not connected. I can't control the camera, no live view, no settings adjustment. Anyone have the same issue or know how to resolve it?

Greetings,
Since you're using ethernet make sure you have wireless disabled on the camera.
Are these the instructions you are following?
Canon : Product Manual : EOS Multi Remote : Camera Connection

Rick,
THX for reaching out. The Multi Remote and the R5 II manual don't explain the camera setup very well
From the Multi remote manual: (This is all it says, nothing about what sender and receiver are)
Select [EOS Multi Remote (sender)] for the sender camera.
Select [EOS Multi Remote (receiver)] for the receiver camera.
We were setting the cameras up as senders, thinking the camera sends info to the computer when it’s actually the opposite. The cameras need to be setup as receiver because they are getting info from the computer. We only figured it out because R5 II manual had a pic in the first steps to setting up the network with the camera in receiver.
