I was wondering why the magnification button stops working when trying to do a manual focus in video mode if the HDR function is turned on. I have a R5 MarkII and it seems that when in video mode, if I record in HDR then I cannot magnify. It will magnify fine in video mode if HDR mode is off though.
And if canon is reading this, please give us an option to customize a button to turn video crop on and off when in video mode. You seem to do this in photo mode but you skipped it on the video mode for who knows what reason?

Greetings esimavi,
The magnification option may not be available in all video shooting modes when attempting to manually focus the lens but can be used in the standard video recording option. If this is a function you would like to have available on the camera when shooting HDR video, then please click on the feedback option located towards the top right of the page when clicking on the following link. You may also submit your feedback for your video cropping suggestion for customizing a button on the camera to perform this function. Consumer demand, technological limitations, and customer feedback are all taken into consideration.
