I’m a 70 year old photographer and I got recently a Canon R5 mark ii, that I mostly use for birding: great camera for this!!!
But I tried recently my RF100 macro F2.8 lens for taken a macro picture of a snowdrop flower in my miniature studio with led illumination.
Therefore I had put my R5m2 on a tripod because I came out on a shutter time of more than 1 second. So I choose for a delayed shutter of 2 seconds to avoid movement when I press the shutter.
Normally I should hear a beep tone for 2 seconds but I didn’t hear it, although my wife did hear it (she is 69 years old😀, but I have been into the army and lost the hearing of high tones). i did see the 2 seconds flash light.
On my previous camera, a Pentax K1mii, I did hear the beep tone of the delayed shutter.
Is there a way to choose a lower frequency of the beeper on the Canon R5 mark Ii?
I searched the manual, but didn’t find t.

Willy,
There is no way to change the tone but you can turn up the volume. The settings are in the menu, yellow/gold wrench. I have the same issue due to many years of Pheasant hunting and Trap/Skeet. The only time I lower it is when I am shooting wildlife or street.
Here is a link to the online manual. R5 MkII manual

For me it seems so logically that the beep sound is generated electronicilly, so there should be a property and method to change it in some range.
The same problem with the picture that is shown, by default it should always been shown like it has been taken, indepently how I turn the camera, seems so logic. For example if I make a portrait the head should always been shown up, indepently how I turn the camera when showing the picture, unless you have froozen the position like you can somewhere in the menu.

The default image display is set to fill the LCD display, independent of camera position when the image was taken. That provides the maximum size for the image. The camera can be set to rotate image for display; that results in a smaller image. Since image review is frequently performed to check for focus a larger image is beneficial.
