Canon EOS R issue with continuous burst photo. Just updated to the latest firmware v1.8.0 Can only shoot single photo on Automatic mode. Cannot shoot single photo in Manual mode, even if screen says single photo...

When HDR is active the camera will take a series of three pictures each time the shutter is pressed regardless of the drive mode setting.

I do not know if this applies to your situation, but I have a T8i, and my manual says that if you are using the touch shutter (taking pictures by tapping the screen), the camera will only take single pictures regardless of what drive mode you have set.

Thank you for the reply, I am not using the touch shutter... I have found a temporary solution that is disabling the HDR setting. This allowed me to capture single frame even when not in Automatic mode.
