Hello,
I am using Canon M6 Mark ii for last one and half years. Recently, every time I switch on the camera, its going to date n time set mode, even when I am not removing the battery and battery is fully charged.
Is there any solution for this issue? Or what should i do to fix the issue?
Thanks in advance.

You make it sound so simple. There is nothing next to the main battery compartment. All I see is a lot of screws on the underside of the camera. I tried removing these and could not see any way of getting the bottom off. This is quite frankly a ridiculous situation, just to change a battery.

Whatever is maintaining the date/time is not user-serviceable on an M6-MarkII. It's a "take it to service" repair, and, of course, you can no longer do that. For mine, I opted to have Canon replace mine with a refurbished one, and it's already several years ago. And can I say, it's a terrible design decision by Canon.

My M6 Mark II does not have anything other than the full-sized Canon battery and the SD card! Date and time always reset with the battery change.

There is an internal battery on the motherboard that mantains the date and time. But this battery can fail and on this camera, that failure isn't uncommon. People have posted ways to replace the battery, but they involve a pretty complete teardown of the camera. Canon has no solution either, other than to sell you a refurbished M6MKII. Yu might well ask why Canon didn't make this battery easier to service. It's easy tyo come up with some cynical answers.

With battery inserted, charge camera via the USB3 port til the orange light goes out. That fixed it for me

Yes, forget about taking it apart! Stupid suggestion. See my other reply re charging.

Please don't offer useless advice if you don't know the camera. This is completely false for this camera!

There is no other battery near the user removable battery that is obvious. Do you have specific knowledge of this or are you assuming this?

It’s nonsense, posted by someone who doesn’t know anything about the camera. Try my suggestion. It works fine for me now.
